Grades 7 – 8 & the Community Service Club on Fundraising Activity
School fundraising is a practice of raising money to support or to help a common goal. On November 19 – 20, 2020, grades 7 – 8 together with the Community Service Club hosted a fundraising campaign after school. There were two activities: wet sponge stock game and second chance shop which were full of laugh and fun.
Funds raised were in cash and in kind donations such as clothes and hygiene kits. These funds were later given to Bandek Ramindra School which is a home for the blind with multiple disabilities.
What a great campaign! Not only the students learn how to work as a team, it teaches them confidence and develop communication skills. But the best of all, it teaches our kids the joy of giving and this helps contribute to a good cause.
“Fundraising is the gentle art of teaching the joy of giving.”
