A Salty Science Experiment!

The AP chemistry class conducted an experiment to separate alcohol from water using a technique known as “Salting Out”.

Alcohol is miscible with water but by adding salt into the mixture, the alcohol becomes immiscible with water and starts to form a separate layer.
