At RAIS, our high school curriculum ensures that students are well-prepared for further studies in computer science and related fields, equipping them with the skills and confidence to excel in the digital age.
Grades 9 & 10: Foundations and Creativity – In grades 9 and 10, students embark on their journey into the world of computer science with a focus on desktop publishing and multimedia. They utilize creative applications to design page layouts and produce professional-quality videos. Additionally, students are introduced to the basics of web design through HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, laying a strong foundation for their future studies.
Grades 11 & 12: In the realm of computer programming, students develop their analytical and critical thinking skills, which are essential for software development. Through hands-on projects and problem-solving exercises, they gain the knowledge and expertise needed to tackle complex programming challenges.
Advanced Placement and Specialization – As students’ progress to grades 11 and 12, they can enroll in Advanced Placement (AP) courses, such as AP Computer Science Principles, offered by the College Board. These courses allow students to deepen their web design skills using various software tools, enhancing their ability to create sophisticated and visually appealing websites.
