Art Department
Objective
The primary aim of this department is to develop a well-balanced child who is artistic, intelligent, concerned, dynamic, and respectful not only in school but in the community as well. To achieve this, the department offers a wide variety of activities from art theory (art principles, art elements, art history) to practical arts (sculpture, photography, painting, sketching, digital imaging, crafts, etc). This program also aims to provide students the opportunity to interpret the art of others, listen to others talk about artwork or see them create art, as well as create original artwork.
Mission
Students in Ramkhamhaeng Adventist International School have the opportunity to develop basic skills and understanding in art through a coordinated developmental program. As art educators, we recognize our responsibility to educate the entire person and to provide the skills and attitudes necessary for self-expression in the creative arts. Therefore, our mission is to provide students with experiences that will foster positive personal growth as well as a satisfying relationship with art.
